Nawras returns after a dominating submission victory at Brave 16
Nawras Abzakh shocked the world when he faced the IMMAF world champion, Abdul Hussein at Brave 10 in Amman, Jordan. The bout marked the return of the Jordanian Bantamweight after a well fought defeat against Felipe Efrain. Abzakh entered the cage rallying the support of excited Jordanian fans in his hometown. And against him was the gold medalist of Palestinian origins waiting to make a mark in the promotion.

Within the very first round, Abzakh shocked the stadium. Abzakh came out swinging against Abdul Hussein, catching him with a precise left hook that closed most of his right eye shut. The pressure that Abzakh put on Hussein motivated him to shoot for a takedown in an attempt to overcome the striking game. However, Hussein’s attempt turned out to be a major mistake as Abzakh cranked up his notorious guillotine choke and lynched an extremely courageous Hussein who fought as hard as he could through the submission.

Eventually, Hussein’s body went limp on him as he went to sleep, earning Nawras his victory and a clip that he can add to his highlight reel of fight finishes. The stadium was shocked into silence until Hussien recovered to his feet. It was no doubt one of the best choke submissions that we have seen in Mixed Martial Arts bouts worldwide. After six editions of the promotion, Abzakh will return to face an even tougher opponent who is also one among the training partners of Georges St. Pierre from Tristar Gym, Canada

Louie Sanoudakis from Quebec, Canada stands in the path of Nawras for Brave 16. Sanoudakis is trained by veteran coach, Firas Zahabi. Coming out of a unanimous win, Sanoudakis will make his promotional debut at Brave Combat Federation. Never been submitted or knocked out in his career, Sanoudakis have seven professional fights in his career out of which he has a single loss. A win will establish a significant Jordanian presence in the bantamweight division for Abzakh. Abzakh has a professional record of 7-1-0 out of which four of the wins came by way of submissions. Just like Hussien, Sanoudakis also comes with a strong wrestling background which raises the question that can Abzakh recreate the magic when bars are raised.

"I had been waiting to return to Brave Combat Federation. Brave 16 brings the event to Abu Dhabi, where I have many of my friends and supporters. I will be at my best to represent Jordan and those who support me. I know that the fight is tough, but I am coming in tougher and well prepared. It is also a special moment to see a Jordanian fighter in the main event competing for the championship", said Abzakh.
