BRAVE CF’s Jarrah Al-Silawi eager to extend his legacy as greatest MENA fighter ever

Seef District, Bahrain - 8 February 2021

Jarrah “The Jordanian Lion” Al-Silawi became a household name in the MENA region (Middle East & North Africa) under the fastest-growing mixed martial arts promotion BRAVE Combat Federation, and essentially made history during his rise to stardom.  The only two-time BRAVE CF world champion is now widely recognized as the best fighter from the region and aims to keep that distinction for a long time.

Currently sitting at the top of the Welterweight division, Al-Silawi started his journey with an impeccable debut at BRAVE CF 2: Dynasty by submitting Erik Carlsson. It was the beginning of a six-fight win streak with BRAVE CF leading him towards a title shot.

At BRAVE CF 16, he finally got his hands on the world title he craved so much. With a near-perfect performance, Al-Silawi dethroned Carlston Harris via first-round TKO in the main event of the organization’s second Abu Dhabi event.

Back to his home country, ‘’The Jordanian Lion’’ was pitted against an undefeated French-Russian grappling expert Abdoul “Lazy King” Abdouraguimov and lost via split decision at BRAVE CF 23.

However, the controversial verdict helped Al-Silawi’s campaign for an immediate rematch. At BRAVE CF 27, Jarrah returned to Abu Dhabi, the site of his crowning achievement, and wrestled the title away from rival Abdouraguimov, becoming the first and only man to beat ‘’Lazy King’’.

This isn’t the first time that the Jordanian Lion made a comeback against an opponent who managed to score a win over him. Al-Silawi has defeated all three opponents he had lost to and his obsession about proving his skills and tactical knowledge has turned him into the top fighter in the region’s storied combat sports history.

After dabbling into the Middleweight division and breaking a BRAVE CF record for most wins, Al-Silawi is eager to return to his crowded division and defend his BRAVE CF Welterweight Championship belt to set a precedent about his reign over the weight-class.
